An ASP-1 with the Variable Placement Module (VPM)

If you’re seeking next-level flexibility in o-ring installation, you won’t want to miss our ASP-1 equipped with the AIS Variable Placement Module (VPM). This powerful add-on transforms the way o-rings are placed onto components and assemblies, delivering unparalleled accuracy and speed.
When paired with any ASP machine, including the ASP-1M or ASP-2, the VPM rapidly and reliably positions o-rings onto fixtured parts. Using a pneumatically controlled rotary actuator, it can rotate its transfer mandrel up to 180º in either direction (or any angle in between), allowing for highly tailored seal placement in a variety of production layouts. At Automate 2025, we’ll be featuring this module on an ASP-1, showcasing its ability to optimize even the most demanding assembly requirements.
